Position Summary
In this entry level role as Business Strategy Specialist, you will collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Business Strategy and Planning to ensure the short and long term business strategy is being developed and communicated to the Life Science organization in a timely manner. You will conduct business research to validate the identification and justification of key strategic initiatives. Other activities include developing and owning key business communication avenues including but not limited to the Life Sciences SharePoint site and monthly Equipment and Service electronic newsletter and managing department level strategic initiatives, presenting progress updates and summaries at various strategy meetings.
Duties
Research and analyze market conditions, industry trends, leading and lagging indicators, competitive dynamics and disruptive forces in support of the overall LS Equipment and Service strategy
Provide frequent communication and collaboration with global Life Sciences team on focus projects and products
Analyze data to substantiate key business strategic alignment initiative
Manage, architect and maintain the Equipment and Service SharePoint site and various Teams sites
Vets, scopes, and manages department strategic initiatives to drive alignment across the Equipment and Service business. Responsible for presenting progress at strategy team meetings
Serves as SME for assigned projects and initiatives to include training materials, ongoing training and support, when required
Design all content and materials and drive effective and timely ongoing, strategic communications for global balanced scorecard program
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic projects are on track and success is measured
Project manage the regular balanced scorecard review meetings by providing reports on KPIs and key initiatives. Manage various pieces of the overall Customer Experience (CX) strategy deployment - including surveys, training and strategic projects
Education Degree
Bachelor's Degree in Business
Required Experience
Work Experience
2+ years Operational Analytical experience
Communication and presentation experience, and experience clarifying and summarizing issues
Experience working with technical and strategic teammates to design solutions -building relationships at all levels of the organization
Experience working independently with minimum supervision, leading multiple projects simultaneously
Strategic, analytical and problem solving experience
Organized with experience identifying all process flow steps for strategic project execution- Preferred
Experience working on initiatives with a global scope- Desired
Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to structure and manage a project from start to finish
Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Stream, PowerApps, Flow, Forms, Planner, ToDo, Sway, etc.)
