Overview of Position
The Contract Administrator will assist client management and supervisory staff with a resolution of managed care issues as directed by the manager. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining working relationships with managed care administrators, credentialing/enrollment personnel, and payer contracting reps, and carrier reimbursement departments. The core hours for this position are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a flexible 8-hour workday.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Review managed care contracts, provide a written overview and/or verbal explanations
Review, compare and analyze carrier/client fee schedules and provide written recommendations
Assist with enrollment issue resolution as directed by Managed Care Director or Manager
Provide assistance regarding obtaining and establishing databases of statistical data
What are the requirements needed for this position?
1 year of experience in contract administration or enrollment
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including being able to create formulas and use data to ascertain if a payer's reimbursement is acceptable for the client's bottom line
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, contracts, and other applicable documents
Exceptional organizational skills
