Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem
Windsor-Laurelwood Center
Willoughby, OH
Description: As a per diem, nonexempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position can work up to 19 hours per week, and will provide coverage “as needed”. This position will primarily cover weekends (8am-12pm), as well as PTO. This position has no regularly scheduled hours.
About the Facility: Windsor-Laurelwood Center is a full-service, 160-bed behavioral health hospital, and is the largest freestanding behavioral health facility in Ohio. Windsor-Laurelwood Center serves Northeast Ohio and specializes in behavioral health and addictive disease treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. The Pharmacy is centralized with automated dispensing and the Pharmacy Staff is a valued part of the healthcare team. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Weekdays 8am-4pm and Weekends/Holidays 8am-Noon
Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
Current Pharmacist license in good standing in OH
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
Effective communications skills; verbal and written
