MULTIPLE WORKSITES: Multiple worksites within Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina, Portage, Stark and Summit counties. 


JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs any combination of the following routine, non-machine tasks to assist roofers, including but not limited to: supplying or holding building materials, supplies, and tools. Load/unload trucks, lift and carry materials and equipment. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment. 


REQUIREMENTS: Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Must be able to work at heights in excess of 15 feet. Extensive walking, exposure to extreme temperatures, frequent stooping, repetitive movements. 

WORK HOURS: The standard work schedule is from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours, depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. 

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: 4/1/21-11/19/21

ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED: No. 3 months previous experience as roofer helper required.

WAGE OFFER: $17.69 per hour. Overtime at $26.54 per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Paid weekly. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company’s sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The payroll period is weekly. Workers are paid by check on Friday.


PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS: All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. Employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Voluntary deductions must be pre-authorized in writing and may include the following: Employer will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities based on number of occupants for workers who voluntarily elect to live in employer-offered housing. Daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up place will be offered at a reasonable cost to workers. The use of this transportation is voluntary. Employer will deduct for reasonable cost of damages and/or replacement of tools and/or equipment ) if such repair or replacement results from willful neglect or gross negligence. The employer offers optional employee savings plans to
its workers; participation in any such plan is voluntary.


BOARD, LODGING, OR FRINGE BENEFITS If needed, employer will assist in arranging optional worker-paid lodging for hired foreign and non-local U.S. workers.   

DAILY TRANSPORTATION (OPTIONAL) Employer will offer daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up place at a reasonable cost to worker. The use of this transportation is voluntary. Employer provides incidental transport between job sites.

FIRST WORKWEEK GUARANTEE Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).


Inbound / Outbound Transportation and Subsistence If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $12.68per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00per day with receipts.


Provision of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Single Workweek for PayThe employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.

THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE (Optional)The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
