Overview

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for the creation, maintenance, documentation, and support of corporate compliance policies and procedures. This position will work with 3rd party auditors to ensure successful completion of compliance and audit activities as well as participate with customers and prospects to satisfy and align inquiries from outside compliance authorities.

What you will be doing

Respond to security questionnaires and inquiries regarding the company's compliance program; maintain responses in company repository while contributing to identifying trends
Perform investigations regarding audit findings, policy deviations, and incident handling activities; develop mitigation plans as needed.
Lead internal and external compliance audits to assess the company's posture against regulatory and industry standards
Implement compliance requirements for internal users, systems, and end users; align compliance standards to meet the requirements of end users
Document and monitor controls to manage risks and identify gaps including results from mitigation activities; contribute to the development of documentation standards and expected guidelines; provide visibility to stakeholders
Create and provide reports to keep management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
Develop, maintain, and review policies and procedures in alignment with current GRC program requirements
Conduct risk analysis and mitigation processes using industry accepted risk management methodologies; contribute to identifying potential areas of vulnerability and risk and monitor progress of mitigation activities with control owners
Educate control owners within the business unit on their responsibilities regarding compliance procedures and requirements, including evidence collection, risk documentation, and other procedural information.
Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy

What will make you successful

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Significant experience with software, IT, and cloud computing security and compliance principles, controls, and frameworks preferred
FedRAMP compliance experience- System Security Plan (SSP), NIST 800-53 and CSP
Significant experience working with audit firms
Experience with risk analysis and mitigation strategies
Experience providing guidance and support to developing team members
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
Sharp, fast learner with a technology curiosity and aptitude
Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Strong ability to use sound judgment and appropriately escalate issues for guidance
Strong ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness
Strong ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
Strong ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
Microsoft Office proficient
Strong knowledge of industry standard compliance principles and best practices
Strong understanding of core company products and technologies
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
