The SAP Analyst is responsible for analyzing requirements and implementing functional changes to ERP (SAP) and ancillary systems such as but not limited to SAP Ariba, Hyperion, Itesoft Free Mind Free Invoice (AP Invoice scanning solution), and SAP Concur to meet business requirements. The Analyst will be a proactive partner with the Finance resources in the business units and corporate functions and will focus on improving Finance reporting, processes, and decision-making via business systems and application software. This individual is a team member within the Finance Applications team and collaborates closely with the broader Avient organization and business units as well as other IT teams.
Supports the global IT landscape to deliver value with a focus on applications used in the finance functions.
Works with business partners and cross-functional IT teams:
Understand business direction and corporate goals across Avient globally.
Perform analysis of business processes to determine business process requirements, distinguishing between needs and wants.
Understand and communicate IT Operations requirements (infrastructure, networking, security, data privacy, etc).
Recommend application capabilities and solutions that best meet business needs.
Document resulting requirements from the analysis.
Drives projects throughout full life cycle: from concept to completion and support
Assist in charter content (scope, schedule, resources, risks, communications, etc.) that specify projects to deliver solutions.
Use requirements to drive design of projects with high complexity
Contribute to building the capabilities.
Complete testing activities to ensure the quality of the solution.
Use change management to ensure adoption of solution
Provide technical support.
Supports existing solutions and systems:
Partner with Finance and IT teams to provide best possible IT support to the business.
Provides break-fix support to any solution and system. Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting the business.
Understand financial processes to provide support to users to complete their jobs
Makes configuration changes within the SAP FI and CO modules and other applications such as SAP Ariba, Hyperion, Itesoft FMFI, and SAP Concur
May make coding changes within the financial applications to support the business.
Liaise between Avient and third party partners on projects and support:
Identify and resolve technical issues
Contribute to defining third party project deliverables and SLAs
Monitor third party progress through the project to ensure project success.

Education and Experience
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related business field required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional analyst roles
SAP or Oracle experience is preferred

Ability to work as part of a team with excellent collaboration skills across other IT functions, and with business partners.

On-call availability to resolve critical system issues during non-stand hours on a rotational basis.
