This position will train on and be fluent in all aspects of jail healthcare operations, including floor nursing, utilization management, quality assurance and facility operations. This position must also be willing and competent to step into a temporary role as often as needed for any NaphCare facility.

Position Description:
Travel to sites to assist with transitions and fill-in shifts as needed
Work under the mentorship of a Senior Vice President and Director of Jail Operations
Understand the principles and concepts of medical quality assurance and utilization review
Monitor and report on the quality of all facets of the medical care provided to patients
Gather clinical information to assess and expedite care needs
Conduct detailed clinical chart assessments including reviewing requests from providers regarding medical necessity of requested services for patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills are essential
Position Requirements
Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license
Valid CPR certification
Ability/willingness to seek licensure in other states
Quality assurance and utilization management experience preferred
Ability to travel (approximately 75%) to sites
