JOB DESCRIPTION: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, as well as, maintain and repair equipment used. Laborers will perform a variety of tasks, such as: sod laying, mowing,trimming, planting, blowing, weeding, pruning, mulching, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units, walks, or water features. Laborer will gather and remove litter, help with installation of brick or sandstone walks, water features, and decorative stone retaining walls. The job will require attention to detail, thorough in completing tasks, integrity, cooperative, dependable, responsible, and reliable. Entry level; requires supervision.
REQUIREMENTS: Must lift/carry up to 75lbs. At least 6 months experience required. Drug screen pre-employment, extensive push/pull, extensive walking, exposure to extreme temperatures, frequent stooping, repetitive movements.
WORK HOURS: The standard work schedule is from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday work required when necessary. The worker may be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED: Yes, must report to supervisor.
WAGE OFFER: $14.88 per hour. Overtime at $22.32 per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Paid bi-weekly. Workers will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check.
OVERTIME INFORMATION: OT may be available; 1-10 hours possible
PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS: All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. The employer will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and/or utilities based on number of occupants for those employees who voluntarily elect to live in employer offered housing. The employer does not envision other workforcewide payroll deductions.
BOARD, LODGING, OR FRINGE BENEFITS If needed, employer intends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this job order to secure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value cost based n number of occupants.
DAILY TRANSPORTATION (OPTIONAL) Daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up place will be offered to foreign and non-local U.S. workers. The use of this transportation is voluntary. Employer provides incidental transport between job sites.
FIRST WORKWEEK GUARANTEE Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
Inbound / Outbound Transportation and Subsistence If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $12.68per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00per day with receipts.
Provision of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Single Workweek for PayThe employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE (Optional)The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
