Overview of the Position
Our ideal Business Development Associate will be highly self-motivated and looking to develop a career in business development by executing and supporting sales responsibilities in partnership with Business Development Leads. A successful Business Development Associate will develop and leverage thoughtful research and a program for outreach to build and nurture a pipeline of qualified buyers. This is an excellent opportunity to refine your sales and business experience while establishing yourself within Change Healthcare Data Solutions, one of the fastest growing parts of Change Healthcare. This role has excellent visibility and an opportunity to grow into a Business Development Manager within 12 months.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Achieve assigned objectives.
Represent Change Healthcare and its offerings with professionalism within the market.
Become an expert in Data Solutions Life Sciences product and service offerings in the marketplace
Engage in target market research to develop an outreach plan and connect with potential prospects.
Effectively understand customer needs. Qualify potential prospects and triage for direct or channel pipelines.
Assist in strategic business development conversations from initial contact through evaluation & effective follow-up.
Build trust-based relationships with prospects and your Change Healthcare team members.
Coordinate with prospects and across internal teams to execute NDAs, evaluation agreements, and other forms.
Attend conferences when necessary and create an amazing first impression, effectively presenting our value propositions to prospective customers.
Work with marketing teams to attend events that enhance Change Healthcare's brand in the target market.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor's degree in marketing or sales is preferred.
1-2 years of B2B/Enterprise/SaaS experience with lead generation/inside sales with senior level decision makers preferably in the Life Sciences market
Specific experience and relationships within the areas of: Pharmaceutical/Pharmacies, Biotech or Medical Device Proven ability to qualify, establish contact, set meetings and follow-up on leads from numerous sources.
Consultative sales experience and strong sales acumen.
Nurture existing clients to support positive brand recognition and gain client referrals.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Excellent interpersonal skills - good listener, critical thinking, effective communicator, creative, intellectual curiosity, self-starter & team player. Problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset
Ambitious, yet patient and principled. Committed to excellence, and delivering results in an honest, purposeful way.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a dynamic team both in the office and remote.
General understanding of the principles of sales
Technical aptitude in business fundamentals, data, and analytics
Organized/disciplined- strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize while multitasking.
Ability to use Microsoft Office tools, CRM Tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator to develop effective prospect communications & materials.
What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
General office demands.
How much should I expect to travel?
50% -Current State we are all working virtually now
