Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

Work as part of a team having responsibility for automotive interior and exterior cleaning services that meet company or client specifications. Detailers may be trained on tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process.  Responsible for making vehicle ready for customer inspections.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
  2. Operating buffers, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
  3. Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles
  4. Complete work assignments and follow procedures put in place by supervisors.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  6. Use automotive hand, power, and pneumatic tools. 
  7. Assemble OE or fabricated parts to complete vehicle.
  8. Confer with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel
  9. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  10. Perform all duties in a safe manner
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent   No experience required.

Basic Skill and Ability Requirements:

  1. Basic mechanical aptitude required.
  2. Previous knowledge of auto detailing preferred
  3. Previous knowledge of automotive hand tools preferred.
  4. Previous paint/buffing experience preferred.
  5. Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  6. Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
  8. Must have strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  9. Self-starter: bias for action, results oriented.
  10. Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
  11. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs.
  12. Ability to work with a diversified work force.
