Job Description
Position Title: Co-Op/ Intern
Pay Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Materials Planning
Position Relationships:
Supervised By: Master Scheduler
Supervises: N/A
Essential Functions:
Supports overall Invacare Materials Management System with reporting, analysis, problem solving and driving actions
Daily meeting with the plant Materials team to review delivery performance against plant goals
Analyze and present delivery performance by product type
Take the lead role in coordinating delivery communication between suppliers and the plant on defined critical items, working with the suppliers for updates
Active part of the team assigned to troubleshoot delivery issues through our plant escalation process
This position will be a facilitator in the coordination/communication process between Supply Chain, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and production
Assist planners with older backlog of parts not identified as critical
Review and update training guide related to job duties, including the ability to train the next co-op
Work closely with the Customer Service and Materials teams as required, including ad-hoc tasks and projects
Assist in standardizing Materials Planning Processes
Support SIOP and forecasting to suppliers
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled Sophomore or higher undergraduate student.
3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher
Major in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Materials, Purchasing, or Demand Planning
Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week during the work term
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools— Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
SAP Experience a plus
