The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Thoracic Surgery is seeking a board certified/board eligible Thoracic Surgeon for the following:

Job Duties: Work duties will include assignment to 2.5 four-hour outpatient clinics each week (two half day sessions in Clifton and one half day session every other week in West Chester), 2.5 days in the operating room each week, and on-call coverage as assigned.  Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in all facets of general thoracic surgery, including expertise in minimally-invasive thoracic surgery including VATS lobectomy and minimally-invasive esophagectomy.  Candidates must also be committed to an academic career that combines outstanding patient care with excellent teaching and research activities. A key component of this position involves teaching medical students as well as residents in both general surgery and thoracic surgery residency programs.

Minimum Qualifications:  Medical Degree (MD, DO) and state of Ohio license/eligible. Applicants must have completed an ACGME approved thoracic surgery residency and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery at the time of employment.
