Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full time mid- to senior level LINUX Systems Administrator with DevOps skills to support a customer at the Air Force Research Laboratory.
LINUX System Administrator (CentOS 7/RHEL 7)
Lead and perform all system administration tasks in cloud-based environment
Building, installing, and configuring software from source code and pre-built packages
Debugging installation/configuration issues
QA testing of cloud instantiations
Write technical documentation, including the use of UML/SysML
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:
Active TS/SCI required;
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field;
Minimum 5 years' experience;
Valid JWICS PKI certs;
Security+ Certification (CISSP or CISM highly desirable);
Proven working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Setting up, configuring, and securing cloud infrastructure;
Working with clusters in the AWS cloud environment;
Strong interpersonal and customer interaction skills;
Ability to Integrate with other organizations/teams; and
Ability to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer
Experience with the following software highly desirable
Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence)
Software development using Go, Java, or Python
