HOURS: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. *Hours may vary to meet operational needs
PAY RATE: $14.00 to $16.00/hour, depending on Qualifications
Description of Duties:
Allen County Job and Family Services has an excellent opportunity for a MIS, Computer Science or Computer Programming major to gain practical experience in their field as an IT Intern. As an intern, you will work across multiple Information Technology disciplines to meet the needs of staff and identify opportunities for efficiencies utilizing technology. From general help desk and troubleshooting, to network functionality and database programming, the IT Intern has the opportunity to work with our Agency in a field of interest and build a great work experience.
A successful IT Intern will bring analytical and problem-solving aptitude, along with technical skills and a willingness to find solutions. The IT Intern will need to be motivated and detail-oriented to help move our IT/MIS division forward. A foundational knowledge of all common Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is strongly preferred.
Expected Internship Duration: 8 weeks (may be renewed as appropriate)

Allen County Job & Family Services offers internships that provide a hands-on training experience throughout the various departments of the Agency. Interns will work directly with our team to understand the various programs and every day operations of the Agency. They will have the opportunity to develop stronger organizational, communication and time management skills.
