Responsibilities





Refrigeration Technician Lead position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work closely with plant operations, maintenance staff, the Case Ready PSM Coordinator, Corporate Engineering, and will report directly to the plant Maintenance Supervisor

Oversee repairs and servicing of all plant Refrigeration, HVAC, and AMU units

Monitor and start the Refrigeration, HVAC, and AMU units to have ready for morning production daily

Develop and monitor necessary refrigeration and HVAC work orders to ensure plant refrigeration and HVAC systems are well maintained

Work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Safety Manager to ensure that all Refrigeration and HVAC Lock Out Tag Out documentation for refrigeration and HVAC equipment is proper and meets or exceeds OSHA requirements. Lock Out Tag Out will be updated as necessary

Receive, review, and document RIKs each time a replacement in kind is performed at the facility

Refrigeration Lead to assist the plant Maintenance Supervisor with updates at the PSM Meetings. PSM meetings must be held and recorded at least monthly at each facility

Receive, review, and document management of change each time a change is made to refrigeration equipment/drawings

Receive, review, and document all refrigeration incident investigations with the assistance of the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Corporate Engineering, and PSM Coordinator. Directly participate in any incidents and assist the plant with proper reporting procedures and follow up action items

Safety Relief Logs - 5 year updates to the Safety Relief Logs for each plant Engine Room reviewed and filed with the PSM Coordinator

Process Flow Diagrams - Assist the Case Ready PSM Coordinator with annual auditing of plant process flow diagrams and update with assistance of CR Engineer, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and plant refrigeration team

Maintain records for any/all refrigeration and HVAC equipment

Understand and assist with plant Wastewater equipment and upkeep

Audit and assist with plant waste water operations including tracking of effluent samples and storm water samples as necessary

Must be willing to work long hours if necessary and be available 24/7

Must be willing to travel as necessary



Qualifications





Skills and Experience required for this position:

Familiar with maintenance work order systems
Minimum Operator 1 Qualification and CFC Certification/License
Microsoft Office - Including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Filing/Organizational Skills
Self-Motivated, Self-Directed, Self-Starter
Ability to work/communicate with each plant refrigeration team, CR Engineer, and Corporate PSM Coordinator
Ability to Audit/Modify PMs with plant refrigeration teams
Ability to Multi-Task
Ability to read prints and drawings
Ability to reach out to and communicate with refrigeration vendors and auditors to assist with refrigeration and HVAC projects and needs
Willingness to take job related classes and continue refrigeration/HVAC training as necessary

Helpful Experience:

Experience working on industrial ammonia/refrigeration systems
Experience with troubleshooting low/high voltage systems
Auditing/Compliance experience
