The Pre-Sales Solution Architect is accountable for the Product Support Services (integration, techincal assistance center, professional services, repair, ITAD) presales motions.
Solution Architects are to assess incoming sales opportunities, determine the optimal delivery services and mechanisms (Delivery partner, 1099, W-2, platform based), and ensure the timely delivery of a scoped solution at an achievable price point.
They are also to be a point of continuity between presales and delivery once an opportunity has been won.
The Pre-Sales Architect shall also vet and onboard delivery partners into the Global Lifecycle Management Services delivery ecosystem.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:
Analyze OEM/Large VAR RFI/RFP requirements for an initiative/program/contract or problem. Support customer meetings to validate or expand upon solution understanding, and assist in gap analysis to support bid/no bid assessments and teaming strategies.
Work with capture and proposal teams to articulate proposed solutions in writing to convey company's technical and/or service capabilities, understanding of customer requirements and the solution approach.
Communicate the generated bid strategy to management and other appropriate people within the organization and solicit feedback and incorporate back into the generated strategy.
Generate a compliant proposal outlines and solution frameworks based upon wide ranging supplied customer requirement information.
Prepare question(s) to better understand customer requirements contained within the supplied RFI / RFP and other customer information.
Prepare tools in support of program/contract IDIQ bids to include technical requirements, contract requirements, and cost modeling and sourcing. These tools will be updated and utilized through the entire bid process.
Validate customer supplied requirements with specific offerings to satisfy those requirements with the most appropriate technical and price cost solution.
Validate partner provided solutions in direct or indirect response of customer requirements
"Value Engineering"- assist with the identification of the most optimum solutions to meet the customer provided requirements within the overall approach and strategy of the developed bid proposal response.

8+ years of industry experience, including three or more years in sales engineering or consulting work of relevant work experience.
1+ years of experience directly managing / supervising employees.
2+ years of sales experience and bid response experience.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree with Bachelor's degree in business or an IT-related field Field of Study preferred.
Other Education / Certifications: Any technical certs such as Cisco, NetApp, IBM, Hitachi, Dell/EMC. Experience with OEM or Large Value Added Reseller service offerrings and product support services operations experience.
Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
On-call availability required as necessary.
Professional, office environment.
Some travel required.
Travel Required (15-20%).
