Under the supervision of the Psychology Manager and staff psychologists for the Severe Behavior Program of the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Behavioral Intervention Case Supervisor designs and supervises the behavioral intervention services for children diagnosed with autism who present with significant problem behavior. They implement behavioral assessments and functional analyses, delineate behavior plans, and provide parent training and school consultation services. They will help conduct intensive day treatment services for the reduction of problem behavior. The Case Supervisor trains and supervises the treatment team, specifically in behavior management strategies.

Responsibilities





* Work with psychologist to develop and conduct community-based behavioral consultation servicesfor school personnel and parents

* Assess behavioral profile of clients, including strengths, challenges, and interests

* Develop evidence-based intervention plans to reduce problem behavior and build replacement skills

* Design the overall behavioral intervention services for each client by developing goals and designing intervention procedures

* Work with psychologist to conduct day treatment services, including functional analyses and structured intervention for severe problem behavior

* Assist in the training of CASD staff regarding behavior reduction strategies

* Assist in training of CASD staff in safety procedures related to severe behavior interventions

* Assist in community trainings and other community events for CASD

* Conduct parent training and address all questions and concerns of parents.

* Serve as liaison between the CASD and the client's other service providers and school district personnel

* Provide crisis interventions to patients when indicated

* Supervise the preparation of documentation necessary for each client, including weekly pre-meeting notes, team meeting notes, quarterly reports, data sheets, and behavior plans

* Attend weekly supervision meetings/training seminars and other designated training sessions, and attend monthly staff meetings

* Perform other related duties as required



Qualifications






* BA/BS in psychology, special education, or a related field is allowable with extensive experience as a Senior Behavioral Intervention Aide or similar position

* At least two years providing behavioral intervention services to children with autism and their families.

* MA in psychology, special education, speech/language or a related field is preferred

* BCBA is preferred

* At least one year conducting duties at the Case Supervisor/Behavior Specialist level, preferred

* Employee must be able to work well with a team

* Employee must be able to drive, possess a valid driver's license, and have use of an automobile to travel to and from client's homes or schools and to the office for training sessions, supervision, and meetings

* Employees must have proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Age of Patients Served:

* Treatment of children from 2-21 years of age

Minimum Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to lift a child up to 40 pounds

* Must be able to handle physical resistance from a child up to age 21

* Must constantly be able to hear, see, speak, and be physically mobile

* Must be able to pass MCPP safety training protocol
