Purpose
The Transportation Research Center Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Impact Laboratory department.
Essential Functions*
Create test plans
Prepare and conduct tests
Document properly organized and inspected test documentation/activity reporting

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)
Generates creative solutions to technical problems
Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships
Coordinate teams and events to reach and process goals
Follow Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
Implement and monitor M&R programs
Create test schedule
Develops test procedures
Attends professional society and technical committee meetings
Make decisions with moderate supervision
Completion of customer support in a timely, error-free and competitive manner
Follow safety procedures; wear protective equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Associates degree in a technological discipline; or bachelor’s degree with related experience; or related knowledge
Minimum three years related experience
Engineering knowledge of processes involved with vehicle testing
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Skilled in coordinating multiple teams/events
General knowledge of computers including word processing and data analysis software
Working conditions
Standard office, climate controlled environment
Standard laboratory environment
Physical requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
