Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Training Specialist (TS) is responsible for supporting the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) by performing in-store audits as directed by the TSM and on the job training to merchandisers ensuring the success of the territory. Plans, coordinates and completes revisions. Assists TSM with onboarding and training of newly hired merchandisers. Services vacant accounts within a defined geographical area. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with paid mileage and assigned a company cell phone to perform audit duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Time spent working on Training and Special Projects
Auditing high volume doors in expanded areas of the TSM territory experiencing high turnover / frequent vacancies)
Auditing dollar stores in territories with high number of Dollar Generals in a concentrated area
Resolving issues in collaboration with TSM in remote / urban areas (regional chains / high chain concentration / high volume areas / remote areas)
Developing relationships with store management and staff in accounts
Support Seasonal Conversion
Training New Hire PTMs and coaching tenured merchandisers
Time in assigned stores
TS will not be assigned high volume doors, or doors where changeover is required day after season. Average weekly hours will not exceed 7 hours in assigned doors
Assist/supplement training & developing both new and current Merchandisers
During audit/training calls review store standards and document in MiPlan
Provide regular and detailed recap to TSM
Special projects assigned by TSM as code 3 hours
TS works within assigned code 3 hours and reports back to TSM

Mileage eligible position
Responsible for communicating with the TSM to identify merchandisers and stores in need of additional training and support.
Utilizing company issued technology (cell phone and MiPlan)
Utilize MiPlan to record all audit and training call information
Maintains lists of trained support merchandisers to fill in for vacations, illness, and revisions.
Plans, coordinates and assists with the product and accessory set up for revisions
Responsible for placement and set-up of fixture accessories
Makes scheduled service calls on assigned account(s) and or vacant accounts as directed
Responsible for leading and participating in minor fixture installations including Dollar Generals
Insures programs are executed timely and accurately as communicated by the TSM
Maintains relationships with store personnel
Work schedules and hours are variable and are determined by TSM. Subject to change based on business needs.
