Intermediate Business Intelligence Developer

About the Job

Job Duties: Responsible for supporting the growth of centralized analytic platform by developing batch, real-time, event-based data integration and application integration components, including collaboration with data architects, business systems analysts, and information quality analysts to understand business requirements, translate them to technical artifacts, develop middleware / integration components, support system / integration testing, and deploy and support production SLAs. Collaborate with team members, IS associates, customers and partners while supporting the development of centralized analytic platform. Assist data architects in developing data models by providing feedback on existing models with regards to scalability. Help develop and maintain development best practices, processes, and standards in Informatica, SQL Server and other enterprise analytics toolset. Develop, test, deploy and support ETL components using scalable and repeatable development methodologies. Use Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Data Quality, B2B Data Transformation for developing re-usable and scalable integration components. Develop pub / sub integration models using Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) capabilities. Develop and refine templates to populate data vault tables such as hubs, satellites & links. Develop stored procedures, user defined functions in SQL Server using secure coding techniques that guard against SQL injection attacks. Develop methodologies to mask sensitive PHI data. Assist in development of role-based access controls (RBAC) for data access. Ensure adherence to data management/governance polices, processes, and standards. Ensure data loaded into the centralized analytic platform is accurate and auditable. Develop reconciliation and balancing scripts between each source application and the analytic platform to track accuracy of data loads. Perform data analysis, data integration, application integration, point-to-point integration, pub/sub and enterprise service bus capabilities. Integrate on-premises applications, cloud to on-premises applications, and on-premises to cloud applications. Integrate multiple sources into a centralized data platform or EDW and create a reporting model. Integrate data into data vault models, star schemas, and normalized data models. Develop mapping templates, re-usable components, and performance tuning. Create files, file groups, partition functions, and partition schemas. Develop indexing strategy, in-memory tables and compression techniques. Create DDLs and deploy to multiple environments. Write stored procedures, secure coding with safeguards against SQL injection attacks. Work with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field plus 60 months of experience in data management and integration, 60 months of hands-on experience with an ETL tool, (e.g. Informatica), and 60 months of in-depth experience working with a wide variety of RDBMS (e.g. SQL Server). Also requires: experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data; experience with BI tools and their data needs, (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, BOE, SAS); strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, outside agencies, organizations, and vendors with a strong customer service orientation.
