As a Professional Services Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing consulting services technical expertise in support of the sale of Diebold North America software and services products. This role entails 100% travel in North America, (M-F).
You are responsible for
100% travel in North America to client sites (M-F). *company provide daily per diem for travel and food*
Programming and implementation of software modifications
Pre-sale support/customer presentations - Customer training
System troubleshooting - Definition of systems software requirements (e.g. specification documents)
Provide technical mentoring to junior professional systems associates
Participate as an active member or sub-team leader of project teams
Serve as a point of contact for non-routine technical issues at major accounts
Assist sales with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy for an account
Provides consulting services to evaluate potential professional service opportunities, technical information relevant to technical issues, consultation with the customer on matters regarding system implementation, staffing and staff training, and guides the customer in the establishment of operating standards and procedures
Assists in the preparation of sales proposals by providing pertinent technical information. Reviews proposals for technical accuracy, software capability and adherence to established professional service and software standards
Responsible for all activities relating to DNA's systems implementation and upgrades
Advises Product Management of product defects and provides customer input on suggested product improvements
Author system design/modification specifications as part of a customer engagement
Willing to travel 100% to customers sites within N. America.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or related areas, or equivalent education and/or experience
Must have 5-8 years of experience in professional service and technical systems deployments (programming, networking, systems integration, data security, or other I.T. skills)
Visual Basic, C# or C++ is a plus
Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams.
Willingness to travel as needed
Ability to work independently and take initiative where necessary
Project management experience is a plus
