Position Overview

In this Electrical Systems Engineer position with Diebold Nixdorf, Inc, you will be a part of Systems Development group providing self-service and branch automation systems and terminals. In this position, you have a great opportunity to apply ingenuity and innovation, and make a mark in systems integration with fresh ideas. You will serve as the Electrical Engineering resource working in a group of Mechanical and Hardware Engineers to integrate various systems components and electro-mechanical assemblies to create the overall customized self-service terminal system design.

You are responsible for

Integration of specifically developed systems modules and components for customized solutions
Input into and evaluation of functional and design specifications for self-service and branch automation terminals
Input into project schedules pertaining to directly related system components integration
Integration of newly designed and existing parts/components into one system.
Development of multiple system components integration designs including power distribution and cable packaging between components.
Implementation of multiple unit level systems components
Testing and documentation of systems components and cabling, input into system test plans and support of quality assurance testing
Support of software and system components
Acting as the Electrical Engineering resource to other engineers


A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology or equivalent degree.
0 to 5 years' experience in Electrical Systems Engineering with some exposure to Systems Design and Integration
Knowledge of software system component integration
General knowledge of component layout
Hands-on testing experience in a lab setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience writing test scripts preferred
Experience in electrical design and layouts in CAD, preferably Siemens NX would be a plus
Regulatory and compliance in electrical design preferred
Experience with computer system hardware and architecture helpful
