JOB TITLE:  Senior Model Based Systems Engineer

This position is based out of our Dayton, OH office, with travel and remote work options supporting out-of-area DoD, Federal Civilian, and commercial customers as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will support project for a variety of USAF program offices. Candidate must have recent experience with major USAF programs.

WBB's ideal candidate for this position possesses knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and experience implementing system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), Rhapsody, CORE, etc.

Lead working groups and develop AFLCMC architectures, roadmaps and supporting documentation

Candidate will support multiple projects for a variety of DoD acquisition program offices.

The ideal applicant is also versatile, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. Must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers. Applicants must also have excellent listening as well as oral and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance:  Secret

 BS in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience

 Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts to include: operations views (OV), systems views (SV), capability views (CV), data views (DV) using systems modeling language (SysML)

 Experience capturing stakeholder needs in models

 Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents

 Minimum 5 years' experience with DoDAF and MBSE modeling

 Provide MBSE/SysML expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team

 Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and systems engineering software

 5-10 years broad technical and managerial experience with DoD, including architecture development and analysis in support of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), AoA or Acquisition processes

 Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills

 Strong written and verbal communications skills

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 Master's Degree in related field

 U.S. DoD Model Based System Engineering with programs at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Engineering experience from USAF, USAF AFLCMC or DoD service acquisition organizations is also considered highly relevant

 Prior Experience working with AFLCMC, AFMC, AFWIC, ACC, and other DoD Stakeholders

 Experience executing alternative/rapid acquisition authorities

 Broad experience with development, coordination and communication of system engineering strategies and recommendations with mid- and senior-level Service and OSD personnel

WORK LOCATION: Dayton, OH

TRAVEL: 25%
