The Director, Digital Portfolio and Program Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and value creation of Digital Program Increments.  This role is responsible for the communication and the coordinated management of multiple related projects, involve working closely with our enterprise program and project managers of Digital Program Increments to plan, monitor cost, schedule, and performance of component projects and operations, addressing interdependencies, ensure issues / risk mitigation, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program aligned to value creation.  When needed, also working with digital product owners, agile teams, technology teams in performing of stakeholder management.  Additionally, the incumbent will establish a framework for portfolio management, tracking and validating metrics for value creation, maintaining, and reporting on KPIs that will be shared with executive management and across Digital Program Increments. This Director will proactively seek opportunities to improve business processes and leverage functionality that can be reusable and standardized across the organization.?This role reports directly to the Chief Digital Officer.

Essential Functions
Portfolio Management, Financial Governance, and Value Creation
•    Manage digital program increments in collaboration with project managers (not directly reported) and stakeholders for the purpose of continuously reviewing, updating, and optimizing the priority mix and ensuring compliance with changing organizational strategies, goals, value creations and objectives
•    Develops metrics that allow the organization to gauge the success of Digital Program Increments and the Digital Transformation Office investments. Ensures that this data is collected, analyzed, tracked, communicated using performance scorecards, and acted upon.
•    Collaborate with IT Finance and project teams to track actual versus expected cost and value for project teams and committed scope.  Identify opportunities to improve current funding and allocation model.
•    Partner with other IT leaders in orchestrating the development of annual technology portfolios based on business and IT strategies
•    Develop Digital Program Increments portfolio performance metrics and value creation.  Lead quarterly reviews and priority planning sessions with stakeholders and IT Leadership Team.
•    Evaluate Digital Program Increments portfolio financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement in execution of the portfolio
•    Consult with business owners as a trusted advisor to assist with program increments aligned with organizational strategies

Program Management
•    Drive the development of program management frameworks, striving for framework consistency across Digital Programs.  Manage continuous improvement for program management
•    Manage digital program increments at the enterprise level, review key performance indicators for each program, and apply relevant management processes (e.g., interdependencies, change management, risk management, issue management, resource management, quality management), ensuring the overall goals and objective of investment are met, and key capabilities are delivered
•    Partner with enterprise project managers to ensure all digital program increments meet budget, schedule and scope requirements, and standard project management practices
•    Lead reviews of any significant initiatives, projects or programs that are challenged and provide recommendations as to whether it should continue, be significantly changed, placed on hold or stop.
•    Drive accountability of project teams, including value creation, KPIs, status update for dashboards
•    Work with the Team to support and develop portfolio dashboards and reports that can be used consistently across the organization
•    Organizes and lead Digital Transformation Office steering committees.  Provide executive/stakeholder communication on overall Digital Program Increments statuses, share successes, best practices, lessons learned, identify overall cross-project / cross-program key risks / issues mitigation, manage stakeholder expectations, and tracking of business benefits.  Coordinates with PM(s) on key messaging.  Provide advanced statistical analysis as required
•    Create or direct the creation and maintenance of the required program portfolio documentation and artifacts
•    Facilitate and drive cross business units’ meetings and key stakeholders, to gain alignment, enable collaboration and effective issue resolution.
•    Monitor interconnected projects. Actively communicate with project managers and stakeholders to clarify interdependencies and accumulative benefit across projects, guide and steer project managers to achieve program outcomes.  Facilitate solutioning suitable approach for tactical execution with stakeholders and leadership as required
•    Ensure Digital Program Increments’ initiatives are funded and availability of the required skills

Program Management Tools
•    Develop, support, and monitor adoption of program management tools, methodologies, and standards across the enterprise
•    Ensure consistency across the program management tools by educating and training project managers on ways of utilization tools

Incidental Functions
•    Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
•    Lead internal teams/task forces on initiatives as assigned.
•    Assist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
•    Responsible for in hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy.
•    Ensure proper mentoring channels have been established within the team.
•    25% travel as required (domestic and international).
•    Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday as required.

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
•    Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience
•    Master’s degree preferred
•    Project Management (PMI), Program Management, or Professional (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2) or Agile methodologies certification strongly preferred

Knowledge & Experience

•    REQUIRED:  10+ years of project management experience, including 8+ years of program management experience in leading large multidisciplinary complex programs in a fast-paced, high pressure, technology environment which required collaboration across groups, with multiple teams located domestically and abroad
•    5+ years of portfolio management a strong desired
•    5+ years’ experience working and influencing in a cross functional team
•    5+ years’ experience in both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
•    Advanced knowledge and experience in Agile & Scrum methodologies
•    Experience with leading implementation of project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI and/or CMMI
•    Strong experience successfully meeting major project challenges and delivering successfully, despite project complexity and risk
•    Financial acumen to manage and adhere to plans, budgets, and value creation
•    Experience with Change Management and Leadership
•    Expertise generating advanced activity status and metrics reports.
•    Demonstrated leadership experience on multiple large-scale projects.
•    Demonstrated leadership. A proven track record of successfully leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions
•    Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions, especially in an international / global environment a plus.
•    Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies is a plus.
•    Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
•    Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, as well as policy development and maintenance.
•    Experience in deploying digital platforms, CRM, order management, supply chain is strongly preferred
