Job Description
Salesforce Industries is hiring entrepreneurially minded Principal Solution Engineers who will create a new vertical offering for Salesforce Industries Financials Services (Retail & Commercial Banking, Loans & Mortgages, Applications, etc.). Working with account executives, your role will be to understand our customer's business outcomes, and explain how the Salesforce Industries applications you created can help to achieve those goals. You'll work with large Financial Services customers responding to RFx's, discovering their business needs, building demonstrations / proof of concepts (POC's) and delivering value based demonstrations to business and IT stakeholders. You'll be an experienced solutions engineering professional who is as comfortable presenting systems architecture to rooms of enterprise architects, as you are explaining Salesforce Industries business value.

Job Locations
This position is full-time remote, looking for candidates in the following geographic regions:
* United States - West Coast / CA - 1 position
* North East / Central United States - 4 positions
25% - 40% travel is required.

Responsibilities

* Own the end-to-end Solutions Engineering cycle including discovery, responding to RFx's, building and delivering product demonstrations, etc.
* Build and maintain relationships with IT and business stakeholders
* Write responses to RFx's, sales and architecture presentations
* Invent and create business relevant demonstrations, sales plays and positioning of Salesforce Industries applications in our Financial Services vertical.
* Capture product enhancements and work with Product Management to prioritize them
* Contribute to building a positive, can-do, high-performance culture

Experience
* 10+ years of Software/Business Applications Sales Engineering/Consulting with proven success
* Industry domain expertise in Retail & Commercial Banking, Loans & Application Processes, Onboarding (Wealth Management, HNWI) and other Banking and Financial Services processes
* Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
* High degree of confidence in presenting solution demonstrations and leading technical pre-sales discussions
* Capability to translate business requirements into compelling solution demonstrations
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented sales environment
* Ability to design and debate enterprise integration architecture
* Collaboration with geographically distributed teams
* Experience configuring Salesforce.com or similar applications (Siebel, SAP, Am. docs, Oracle, Microsoft, Netsuite, etc.) is preferred
* Experience working with SaaS software such as Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Workday, etc. is preferred

Technical Skills
* Experience of enterprise architecture principles in SaaS and on-premise environments, e.g. SOA, compliance, security, etc.
* Must be comfortable working with structured data interchange formats including JSON and XML
* Technical proficiency with Salesforce.com development languages such as Apex,
VisualForce, Lightning, etc. is preferred
* Web services based integration using SOAP, REST, OAuth, etc.

Certifications / Qualifications
* Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
