This position is an entry-level seasonal position expected to last 4-6 months in duration. The successful candidate will assist Horizon Technicians and serve in a helper role for critical customer start-up projects. Over the course of the assignment, the seasonal employee will receive on-the-job training and be exposed to telecom technical concepts and procedures.
General Job Duties:
Pulling and termination for Cat 5, Cat 6, Coax cable and contact wire for low voltage lines (18/2 22/2).
Termination of A / B patch panels and jacks.
Use of power tools (drill, impact, hole saws).
Use of small hand tools (screw drivers, hole saw, side cuts, punch tool, scissors, RJ45 crimps).
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience using various tools safely
Knowledge or general understating of data networks preferred.
Some knowledge of blue prints and drawings preferred.
Ability to push, pull and lift regularly throughout work shift.
Hard hat, steel toed footwear will be provided and required.
Covid19 safety and hygiene practices must be followed.
Customary hours will be 8:00 am to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday with 30 minutes for lunch.
Overtime will be offered on occasion.
