Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, is currently accepting applications for a full time Research Coordinator, to plan, evaluate, and coordinate research projects for the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center grant. 

Essential Functions

Assists with the day to day operations management for the program and related projects, communicates with regional AETC administration, coordinates and provides local training programs, and communicates with the University of Cincinnati administrative infrastructure.
Responsible for the completion of work, goals and objectives for the IPE, MINHC, base project, core trainings and MAI scholar programs and collection of data for these programs, submission of data forms, completion of needs assessment, and collection of outcome data.
Responsible for coordinating three (3) educational programs around COVID-19 and HIV, funded by the CARES Act.
Responsible for the educational programs for social workers and case managers' deliverable in the contract with the Ohio Department of Health. Assists with activities funded by the Ending the HIV Epidemic grant, including recruiting 2 providers to participate in the quarterly PrEP learning experience.
Responsible for communicating with and coordinating on work done by the UC College of Social Work Instructional Design team for the MATEC office.
Attends and participates in conference calls and meetings. Facilitates projects and quality work, committees and other forums at the local level.
Completes continuing education and training programs as assigned on continual basis, in addition to continuing education required for licensure renewal.
Perform related duties based on departmental and grant need.  This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years in research coordination.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Meticulous documentation skills.
Proficiency in various computer and software applications preferred.
Infectious Diseases experience strongly preferred but not required.
