Our Dublin, OH location is seeking a Financial Analyst II. This position acts as a key member of the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team in preparing monthly forecasts and annual budgets, analyzing results versus expectations, and providing ongoing reporting to key leaders to help drive desired financial performance.
2 to 4 years of experience specifically in financial and/or statistical analyses (internships included).
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Experience in financial modeling preferred
Experience with budget management software preferred. Direct experience with Hyperion preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access and PowerPoint; Strong Excel skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as with all levels of management throughout the company
Detail oriented and organized with strong focus on data accuracy
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
Demonstrated analytical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills; able to elicit and comprehend quantitative and qualitative information
Flexible in nature-willing to take on new responsibilities as business needs change
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent of education and experience) required
Participates in planning processes including monthly forecasting and annual budgeting. Within these parameters this position will:
Prepare monthly forecasts, reporting, and annual budgets
Pull budget versus actual results for management reporting.
Develop and maintain budget and forecast calendars and support processes, serving as a consultant to business partners and others regarding key timelines and inputs required to complete the process.
Work directly with key cost center owners to report monthly operating expenses, review variances, and identify key drivers for forecast adjustments
Attend monthly Accounting meetings to understand financial results, research variances versus budget/forecast as needed and prepare reporting for management
Assist in the preparation of budget and monthly reporting presentations for executive team
Assists in the preparation of monthly management reporting, including Pulse Updates (business reviews) and company KPI reporting
Support company strategic initiative projects, including tracking and reporting on key performance indicators
Work in conjunction with other areas of the company to support and analyze company performance and help business partners gain efficiencies to improve bottom line performance
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support business partners and/or management
Complete assigned projects on time and with thorough supporting documentation
Complete other duties as assigned
