Plan, execute, and finalize multiple technical projects/activities according to strict deadlines and within budget
Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors and/or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan
Strengthens the financial performance of the company by effectively monitoring project cost, schedules, on time delivery and preparing accurate forecasts
Lead teams by being a great communicator, working effectively with others, being dedicated to the goals of the team and company, working productively with others to meet scheduled task completion dates
Travel national or international to airport installations as required for project start-up, monitor progress, commissioning, testing, and training up to 40%
Direct and manage project lifecycle from quote to customer acceptance
Develop a complete project plan, communication plan and associated documents
Create a project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and elaborate details in written Work Packages (WP)
Create a schedule using Critical Path Method (CPM)
Manage schedule milestones, deadlines, and task dependencies
Manage project scope, scope changes, customer change notices and customer change directives
Proactively manage project risk, identify potential risks, and devise mitigation and contingency plans, and keep risk register updated
Manage project budget including labor, material, and travel expenses
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recommendations if necessary, during project cycle
Support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Conduct project Lessons Learned meetings and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Control and Monitoring: Comparing actual performance with planned performance, analyzing variances, assessing trends to effect process improvements, evaluating possible alternatives, and recommending appropriate corrective actions as needed
Prepare project status reports and present to management
Work with Sales and assist with bid preparations
Draft and submit budgets, quotations (cost estimates) according to schedule deadlines
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Accurately prepare and organize quote reviews with management
Prepare preliminary project schedule, whenever required
Direct, review, and approve design drawings and written specifications
Support design team to produce custom drawing packages for each project
Review and approve all electrical wiring, civil and mechanical designs
Facilitate software team to produce custom software configurations for each project
Testing and Validation
Utilize experience to review and approve software configurations
Supervise both in house and field testing and customer validation testing
Training and Presenting
Work with other departments to produce internal and customer training programs
Perform presentations internally, at trade shows or for customers
Perform training internally or for customers
Review and write technical & contractual letters and reports
Review custom manuals and test plans
Approve project expenditures, enforce process rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services
Set and continually manage project goals and expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Self-monitor personal performance against annually targets by reviewing available department scorecards and dashboards
Lead through change and adversity, make the tough call when needed, build consensus when appropriate
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent degree
Possession of a valid driver's license
Must maintain an insurable driving record
Must pass any required BCI and FBI Background Check
PMP Certification preferred
Knowledge & Experience
Twoto Four years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education
Twoto Fouryears of project management experience working as a project manager
Experience working on electrical infrastructure & installation projects, or construction projects, or industrial automation projects is preferred
International project management experience

Airfield Lighting Industry (preferred)
Maintains working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport policies, procedures, and products
Remains current on FAA Advisory Circulars and understand the airfield lighting industry and product lines
Maintains working knowledge of ICAO Annex 14 and Document 9157 parts 4 & 5 as required for international projects
Maintains working knowledge of relevant international and national standards (FAA, ICAO) and CE/EMC/IEC requirements
Electrical, Electronics and Computers
Well versed in basic electronics including low voltage and high voltage
Able to review electrical wiring diagrams and 1-line diagrams
Understanding of computers, computer networks and network communications
Understanding of underground electric infrastructure and distribution lines

The job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to visit a customer's location or construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location. While on a job site the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions that include wet and/or humid, cold and heat conditions, working near moving mechanical parts and construction machinery.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee will be working with and around high voltage and high current equipment; there is a risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, hearing protection might be required when visiting customer's location or construction job site.
