LMI is seeking a skilled Data Architect in support of a DoD customer based out of Dayton, OH. This position can be worked 100% remotely.

Responsibilities may include:
The Data Architect will define how the company's structured and unstructured data will be stored, consumed, integrated/shared, and reported by IT application systems. Specifically, this individual defines and aligns architecture principles to the overarching enterprise architecture principles.
The Data Architect will work toward building an enterprise model, a central dictionary of standard common business vocabulary, define strategy/approach and principles for data quality management, master data management, data integration, data security/access and data archiving and retention.
The Data Architect will be required to map systems and interfaces used to manage data, set standards for data management, analyze current state and conceive desired future state, and conceive projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals. Uses technical knowledge and expertise to develop, innovate technical solutions that meet the needs of the business, IT and architecture vision as a whole. Responsibilities include:
Implement a strategic data management strategy to coordinate the integration, quality, availability, security, and maintenance of enterprise data across systems and the organization
Design and implement an enterprise data governance program, including systems, processes, and policies
Have practical experience in software development, solution architecture, infrastructure design and implementation, and/or system integration
Work with conceptual, logical, and physical data models and data modeling tools
Design and implement processes to ensure data reliability, efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement
Design and develop integrative views of data
Define technical standards to guide enterprise-wide access and use of data
Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems
Acquire and integrate new data with existing data sources
Leverage various programming languages and tools to integrate systems
Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, software developers, Enterprise Data Architects, system owners, and business users to understand the end-to-end lifecycle of data
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
5+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
8+ years of professional experience in data/information architecture
Understanding of master data management and data quality concepts
Good knowledge of general Project Management methodology and Tools
Advanced knowledge and skills in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, and data management of structured and unstructured data.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of established/emerging data management technologies including and not limited to data analysis, profiling, reporting/analytics, data visualization.
Advanced knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of information, technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions.
Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, business applications and systems engineering
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write and edit a variety of general business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, and position papers
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable and reliable could solutions
Must hold active DoD secret clearance and be a US citizen
