Responsible for enterprise computer network user and resource administration.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Performs new user setups, and user/team requests in an efficient manner so that all requests are fulfilled within defined service level.
Maintains user account access privileges.
Maintains shared network software and hardware resources.
Assists Network Administrator with installs and maintenance of network computer equipment and software. Monitors network resources to ensure effective and secured use of resources.
Determines causes of problems and recommends corrections/adjustments to the Network Administration Team Leader for possible resolutions.
May participate in rotation of on-call pager for non-core hour support of networks based on discretion of Network Administration Team Leader.
Creates and maintains cGMP network documentation for user administration and resource management processes.
Performs network backups and tape rotation for disaster recovery and file restoration. Participates on teams to design, test, and implement infrastructure projects.
Assists the IT Help Desk in resolving user problems involving the network.
Provides backup to the IT Help Desk when staffing constraints occur.
Participates in, and/or conducts, evaluations of new technologies that require or impact network technologies.
Works with IT Help Desk to resolve 45-65% of support calls within 1 business day.
Network system availability at or above established service levels. Standard user requests are completed within 3 business days.
Meets project benchmarks and deadlines.
Documentation revisions of network architecture, processes, and services within 5 business days of changes or additions.
Resolve 45-65% of Network Admin tickets within 2 hours day after the call was initiated. 95% of all tickets resolved within 3 business days.
Coordinate 3rd party contractors for cabling, networking, or other key organizational infrastructure needs.
Education and Experience
Minimum: 2 years prior system/network administration experience in a Windows network environment and/or multiple key Windows certifications. Experience with the following technologies preferred: Windows network operating system, Windows PC operating systems, Microsoft Office, Exchange Online (O365), Outlook client, backup utility, HP printers, and Konica Minolta copiers;
Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Server Administration; Microsoft System Center, ITIL, Cisco.
Will coordinate contractors when necessary to fulfill project tasks and meet deadlines.
