The CommercialStrategy and Insights Managerwillbe a part of arapidly growing Commercial Operations group and will serve as a leaderwithin the group, and acrossthe organization. Thesuccessful candidate willwork withkey leadersacross the organization to integrate insights and analyticsintoall facets of business planning and impact analysis. This is apivotal and critical role withinMedpace'sgrowingspotlighton data and analyticcapabilities andwill lead a growing Commercial Strategy and Insights team.
Serve as focal point integrating insights and analytics (forecasting, business intelligence, and integrated analytics) forMedpace Commercial Operationsand translating into business impactacross all business units.
Provide strategic oversight and guidance to business planningand forecasting.
Ensure seamless integration of analyticsacross the organization, as well as identifying and leveraging third party data sources to augmentanalysis.
Identify and develop key metrics to measure and monitor performance through dashboards. Partneracross business functions and business unitstoevangelizea data driven and value centric company culture.
Guide the Commercial Insights & Strategy team to focus on key business questions and to frame business problems intoactionable analysis plans.
Routinelyprovide integrated insights that driveoperations and sales efforts.
Apply and help others on the team utilize basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact.
Determine optimal analytic approaches in the context of resources, timing and overall project goals.
Champion the development and implementation of research and analytics approaches and methods that are innovative and examples of industry best practices.
Responsible for ensuring the Commercial Insights & Strategy team is focused on key businessneedsforthe Medpace enterprise,and well asindividual business units and functional areas.
Ability todemonstrate leadership courage in order to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects.
Staycurrent inemerging industry trends and assess their potential impact onMedpace and business unit strategies.
Inspire and empower team to act with speed, agility and accountability enabling them to achieve excellence.
Cultivate meaningful internal partnerships, adding value and insights for the organization; being insight driven to uncover important unmet needs.
Advanced degree desirable.
A minimum of5years of relevant business experience in marketing, finance, or business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting required.
Diversity of experience is preferred, with demonstrated learning agility in order to be able toquickly learn and adapt across various business functions.
Business/market experience and industry knowledge to influence company/business unitlevel decisions and strategies are required.
A minimum of 2 years of people management experience is required in addition to a proven track record with talent development and empowering an accountable team.
General management mindset, business acumen, strategic thinking required.
Proven analytical skills and learning agility in order to coach and train colleagues across multiple functions required.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and leverage insights and analytics required.
Experience in developing comprehensive and impactful recommendations and solutions that drive key decisions required.
