As a Quality Associate Engineer for operations with Diebold Nixdorf, you will be responsible for establishing and coordinating the quality for all aspects of assembly, testing, staging and packaging. You will be conducting analysis and reviewing trends including product and process quality. You will also be conducting and reviewing performance of all activities by performing audits to assure compliance to corporate and external regulatory requirements.
A quality engineer is responsible for making sure that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes. An important part of the job involves designing the company's quality standards and testing processes against those criteria. In most organizations, the QAE also checks that employees are trained to the right quality standard and that all safety requirements are met throughout the production process. If anything goes wrong, it's the quality associate engineer's job to meticulously document the problem and work with other engineers to find a solution.
Oversees the quality management system for assigned areas
Coordinate, implement and maintain a Corrective Action System for tracking non-conformance and subsequent corrective action for facility products and processes
Perform quality and performance analysis
Perform plant internal audit function (Layered Audits)
Quality problem solving
Train associates in proper containment and problem solving
Work with quality auditors
Customer liaison for quality issues and concerns
Assist in vendor management
Execute the continuous improvement plan for assigned area
Train associates in the understanding the Quality Policy, expected quality procedures, and quality improvement.
Degree in scientific or technical field or related technical work experience
Must have experience with quality control concepts and/or continuous improvement activities in a production environment
Experience in quality, continuous improvement, problem solving and/or fabricating in a production setting preferred.
Must have the ability to analyze systems and apply quantitative skills to recommend changes to existing processes
Must be familiar with MS Office
Must possess the ability to interface well with management and associates and to work in a team environment
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
