ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position may include:


Groundwater geochemical evaluation using industry standard software such as PHREEQC or Geochemist's Workbench;

Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;

Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;

Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction quality assurance and oversight, and remediation system O&M;

Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation; and

Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Here are some other things you should know about this position:


Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.

Fieldwork: Up to 30%

Overnight travel: Up to 10%

EDUCATION AND LICENSUREB


 Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology or related field. (required)

 Advanced degree in environmental science, geology or related field. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


Prior related field experience, including observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and other field techniques, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)

Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (preferred)

Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (valuable)

Technical experience in geochemistry, geology, environmental, or related disciplines. (preferred)

Working knowledge of geochemical modeling software. (required);

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related software; AutoCAD and/or GIS. (preferred)

Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)

Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
