KBR is seeking a highly motivated Systems Security Engineer to join our team's Fairborn or Columbus, Ohio offices.

Responsibilities include: Analysis and design of security research approaches for protecting against vulnerabilities in integrated circuits, firmware at the microarchitectural and architectural levels.

Skill Set Desired:

BS + 5 or MS in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a relevant discipline

Must be a US citizen that holds or is eligible for DoD clearance

Experience developing software in C, C++, Python, and/or Java

Experience designing / analyzing digital logic circuits(Logisim, etc.)

Experience working independently on large / complex software systems

Working knowledge of operating systems internals, particularly Linux (processes and threading, CPU scheduling, paging, segmentation, etc.)

Working knowledge of computer architecture (caching, pipelining / superscalar designs, branch prediction, out-of-order execution, etc.)

Experience working with at least one instruction set architecture (x86, MIPS, RISC-V, ARM, etc.)

Understanding of software and hardware security vulnerabilities and attacks

Strong troubleshooting and debugging capability

Experience developing software in Scala or other functional programming language (Haskell, Scheme, Lisp)

Experience with agile development and associated tools (git, mercurial, etc.)

Experience developing complex hardware systems in a hardware definition language or generator language (Verilog, VHDL, Chisel, BlueSpec)
