Title: Specialist - Quality and Safety

Department: Integrated Medicine

Hours: 40 hours/week

Shift: 1st

Primary Purpose: The Nursing Quality and Safety Specialist will be responsible for supporting quality, patient safety and accreditation standards within the assigned units/service line. This leadership position will work collaboratively with the unit/service line leadership and the Director of Nursing Quality and Safety to assure all members of the healthcare team maintain performance standards for professional nursing practice, delivery of safe, high quality clinical care and outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills

Education: BSN, minimum required. Master's degree, preferred.

License and Certifications: Licensed RN in the State of Ohio. CPHQ certification preferred.

Years of Experience: Three-five years of equivalent experience, minimum required.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

The Nursing and Quality Specialist should bring a mix of experience, talent, style and values that will enable success in a complex and diverse environment. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking and problem solving in groups. Serves as the clinical quality content expert of assigned unit/division. Must have leadership skills to collaborate and successfully lead projects and educate staff regarding quality and safety.
