Title: Project Manager

Location: UC Medical Center

Department: Integrated Medicine

Hours: 40/week

Shift: 1st

Primary Purpose: The Project Manager serves as a driver for change and has responsibility for leading and overseeing quality or service improvement initiatives at UC Health. Primary responsibilities include: Identification of improvement opportunities, implementation of improvement action plans, management and knowledge of applicable computerized systems, and the use of metrics to set deadlines, monitor process performance, and assist the organization with enhancing our accountability. The Project Manager will also communicate project status to applicable internal/external customers.

Knowledge and Skills:

Education: BA/BS required, Master's degree preferred.

Years of Experience: Three to five years.



Required Skills and Knowledge: Significant knowledge of project management, group facilitation, analysis, performance and process improvement tools. Significant experience with personal computer and business software applications such as spreadsheet, graphics, word processing, database, and flow-charting. Excellent communication skills, including presentation, verbal, and written. Demonstrated ability to work with uncertain boundaries. Demonstrated ability to function with minimum guidance and oversight.

Licenses and Certifications: Certified Healthcare Professional, PMP Certification, or Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
