Are you passionate about employee experience and delivering solutions that drive productivity?  We are looking for a Senior IT leader to lead a domain that is focused on delivering a frictionless and delightful employee experience.

The Senior IT Manager, Productivity manages a team that is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of Sherwin Williams’ Productivity domain which includes the personal productivity experience and endpoint technology solutions for all employees.  The Productivity team is a part of the Digital Workplace organization at Sherwin-Williams. The goal of this team, and this position, is to deliver the digital and device capabilities for our employees worldwide to further enable productivity and engagement

This role will lead partnership across the IT organization, to create an enhanced employee productivity experience.  The leader of this team is responsible for the design and delivery of secure client and mobile solutions.  Additionally, this role will contribute to the strategic management decisions of the technology experience our employees leverage for personal productivity (ex: mail, devices, and O365 productivity applications such as OneNote and Office.)

This individual will champion implementation projects, be a key decision maker in endpoint strategies globally, and provide leadership to the Endpoint Management, Engineering, Fulfilment and Mail teams. The incumbent will foster team and individual development, ensuring a cohesive team dynamic. This role will focus on ensuring employees and key stakeholders are satisfied and will work to continuously improve users’ experiences with their devices and applications while striving to delivering enhanced employee productivity. 

Essential Functions

Strategy & Planning

Provide strategic, thought, and technical leadership, vision, and direction to the Productivity teams.
Lead productivity/endpoint strategies in collaboration with the DW leadership team including strategic (1-3 year) planning for the organization.
Point of contact for the discussion and negotiation for implementation contract services.  This includes both software and services.
Work closely with business & IT leadership on governance and resource capacity for project implementations.
Oversee and lead work with key business stakeholders, employee resource groups, change champion network, and technology partners to identify opportunities that drive business value.
Build relationships with peer companies to leverage experiences and successes and foster a collaborative relationship.
Benchmark, analyze and make recommendation for improving current methods and practices.
Lead the change management of new or changed services within the Productivity domain, while driving continuous service improvement.
Ensure a detailed succession plan is in place for both individuals and skills to ensure sufficient staff depth is in place to run the business.
Plan endpoint acquisition & divestiture strategic efforts under confidentiality as necessary.

Acquisition & Deployment

Lead efforts for productivity domain that are required to integrate newly acquired sites or support divestiture activities, establishing playbook guidance and updates where appropriate.
Oversee individual implementations, including staffing recommendations, individual roles and responsibilities, and timeliness of deliverables.
Understand implementation issues and opportunities in the context of the requirements and works with stakeholders to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Evaluate and propose new and emerging technologies.
Promote a common understanding of productivity and endpoint capabilities that can be adopted and leveraged across all employees.
Sustain and contribute to the CMDB (enterprise application/device portfolios), Asset management practices.
Coach and guide technical and operations staff to troubleshoot environment issues.
Lead post-project analysis to reflect upon successes, failures, and lessons learned.

Operational Management

Direct, delegate, empower, and motivate staff to successfully accomplish objectives, meet responsibilities, and complete tasks.  
Manage operational costs; conduct near and long-term financial forecasts on a project-by-project budget planning basis.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
Provide efficient communication and decision-support to stakeholders and managers at all levels.
Embrace flexibility with language and culture, to support the 24-hour nature of our global business.
Lead the team to manage program roadblocks, technical constraints, end user impact.
Coach and guide technical staff to troubleshoot complicated environment issues, including those that span multiple technologies and teams on the endpoint or supported applications.
Follow the project and portfolio governance process and technical change/release management process and ensure compliance.
Develop best practices and operational components of subscription-based software licensing and provisioning for platforms such as Office 365 and Adobe.
Drive automation throughout the organization by improving technical and business processes.
Manage the on-call rotation and ensure immediate response supporting the critical incident process.

Incidental Functions

Lead departmental or divisional meetings as requested.
Attend business management and IT staff meetings where appropriate.
Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested.
Train and share knowledge with development teams in cross functional capacities.

Up to 25% travel as required (domestic and international).
Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may be required.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience.
Masters degree preferred.
ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma and/or Microsoft certifications preferred but not required.

Knowledge & Experience

16+ yrs Business and/or IT experience.
8+ yrs management or enterprise department management.
8+ yrs experience leading team-based activities.
8+ yrs with leading and/or managing large, complex global projects including experience collaborating with work teams in a global environment.
3+ years supporting or managing device endpoints (PC & Mobile) (highly preferred).
5+ years of experience working in IT infrastructure or information security (preferred).
2+ years’ experience with device infrastructure technologies such as SCCM, Ivaniti, Intune, AirWatch, etc. (preferred).
2+ years’ experience with O365 and Windows as a Service (preferred).
1+ year experience with the following technologies preferred:  Exchange, Proofpoint, SailPoint ServiceNow. (preferred).
1+ year experience working in DevOps/Agile methodologies (preferred).
