GrafTech International has a challenging opportunity for a Director of Digital Initiatives.The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight and execution support on all GrafTech digital initiatives applying principles of data analytics and machine learning to advance GrafTech operations. Thisposition will be based the Corporate officein Brooklyn Heights, OH.
Support operations in developing understanding of data analytics, identification of implementation opportunities and prioritization based on business results.
Set-up and configure data wrangling and modelling environment.
Implement data wrangling: cleaning, imputation, transformation.
Implement feature engineering.
Data and implement data back-testing.
Exploration, guidance, recommendation for modeling strategy.
Post-Secondary STEM Education or extensive experience modelling.
Strong understanding of statistical metrics with associated modelling approaches.
Strong understanding of traditional modelling approaches: regression, time-series (VARS, ARIMA), non-linear trees (random forests, GB, etc.) clustering, PCAs, SVM etc.
Strong understanding of neural networks: CNN, RNN, LSTM, etc.
Experience with python, R, pandas, SciKit, Statsmodel,Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch or equivalent.
Experience with data science Jupyter/IPython notebooks and deployment pipelines.
