Euclid Chemical is looking for a candidate with solidtechnical skills and an eye for detail to join the team as ConcreteLab Technician.
The Mortar & Grout Products Group is looking for a lab technician to conduct chemical, engineering and physical laboratory tests primarily based on experimental designs to develop new products, improve existing products, evaluate competitive materials and analyzes test data by performing the following duties under the direct supervision of the Technical Supervisor of Mortars & Grout. The successful candidate will bea self-starter, who iscomfortable with technology, computer applications and able to work in a team environment.
Set up laboratory equipment, clean moldsand instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control.
Conductchemical, physical, and engineering tests on experimental formulas and competitive products.
Documentresults of tests, analyses, and maintainlab books in an acceptable manner. Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records.
Prepareexperimental products following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
Testand analyzeproducts such as concrete, cementitious repair products, admixtures for concrete, cement and other raw materials to determine their physical, chemical, and engineering properties.
Build proficiencyin answering inquiries on product usage, competitive product comparisons, web-site navigation, product specifications, repairs, problems, environmental regulations, construction and technical questions.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three months related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Requirements & Schedule:
Ability to routinely lift 50+ pounds
Flexible schedule due to varying workload/hours
Communication/Language: Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, industry standards and specifications (e.g. ACI & ASTM) operating, maintenance, procedures, work instructions, and manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:Intermediate ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning /Problem Solving Skills:High ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Organizational Skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within set deadlines.
Interpersonal Skills: Effective Team Playerwith ability tomanageinternal and external project communication and relationships acrossregional and global groups.
