Senior Computer Engineer
Work location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH
An engineer shall have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, preferably mathematics, computer, or software engineering, with at least eight years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in engineering or science, preferably mathematics, computer, or software engineering, with at least five years of related technical experience.
An engineer must be available who has a minimum of five years’ experience, beyond any degree, in each of the following technical areas: (1) Windows Domain Administration, (2) Network and system security for process automation infrastructure, (3) configuration of communication protocols (i.e. serial, ETHERNET.), and (4) OPC data architectures and servers, (5) configuration and administration of supervisory process automation systems (6) administration of MS SQL Server data applications and interfaces, (7) configuration and administration of system and network intrusion detection systems, (8) basic process measurement and instrumentation techniques (e.g. 4-20 mA instruments), and (9) fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatics concepts. A P.E. license or CSE license is preferred, but not required. CompTIA Security+ certification must be maintained. A given engineer must qualify for all of the technical areas.
