While reporting to the Manufacturing Services Manager, managing the Production Planning / Scheduling functions associated with the plant. This role is responsible to schedule assigned equipment with the goals of minimizing changeover while meeting customer expectations. Communication and accuracy are critical to both external and internal customers for a successful operation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Ensure the effective scheduling of all production lines
Create the jobs from the sales orders.
Develop production schedules to meet all finished goods requirements while minimizing changeover, downtime, and inventory
Reviews records on stock status, material requirements and production schedules to determine adequacy of stock versus production requirements
Plan raw material requirements using MRP or other electronic systems as appropriate
Creates and generates reports and performance analyses including out-of-stock, days of supply, aging inventories and other analyses to facilitate cost and service improvements
Works with production, shipping, and other team members to maintain minimum inventory levels finished goods
Determine inventory management strategies
Assist in the determination of material obsolescence and in purging obsolete inventory from the system
This position will be at our Franklin, Ohio Flexibles packaging plant.

University degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
3-5 years' experience in Production Planning preferably in a high volumemanufacturing environment.
Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory planning, forecasting, and MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
Extensive experience managing spreadsheets and planning with Microsoft Excel.
This is a progression position and could be a level I, II or III. Compensation and progression level will be based on candidate's experience and education, and current business needs.
