Job Description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

                                        METTLER TOLEDO is hiring a Regional Product Manager/Project Engineer at our Worthington, OH location. The responsibilities for this position include:

1. Regional Product Manager is responsible for the following as it relates to APW High Precision products in Region Americas:

Application Engineering

Provide technical consultation to Americas Regional Support Center and their customers
Key contact between Americas Region and APW SBU
Manage ETO projects for key account opportunities

Business Development

Proactively support our marketing organization in developing new OEM accounts. Make sure the marketing team and distributors take the necessary actions
Proactively follow-up and manage key projects to ensure success; together with local sales representative
Regularly perform regional market research for finding new suspects
Be on top of regional competition. Proactively inform on their activities

Product Development

Coordination of product development requirements between multiple units, existing product enhancements and other significant events.
Development & maintenance of regional product specifications

Business & Operations Support

Regional logistics plan & forecasts
Focal point for supplied customer information on products & initiatives
Regional product obsolescence strategy
Regional product training across multiple business units
Customer order resolution
Maintain and manage a demo pool of equipment for customer tests and trainings
Coordinate regional product returns and quality notifications
Coordinate regional 3rd level support

2. The Project Engineer is responsible for SBU-OEM products with respect to the following activities:

Establish and manage project schedules, milestone reviews, patent applications, reporting, and coordination for both local and global weigh module projects
Maintenance of line in SAP, such as new product introduction/release (MRT), design changes (Change Masters) and end of life activities.
Conceive, define, and develop new products/processes and define project schedule, document cost goals, and follow standard PLM processes.
Verify that product performance is acceptable to customer expectations through experimentation and testing.
Follow up with quality issues.
Assure that new or modified designs meet or exceed applicable industry standards and performance.
Seek knowledge of applicable industry standards, customers, markets, manufacturing capability and product applications.
Process custom ETO orders in an efficient and timely manner, while adhering to good engineering practices and established operating policies.
Participate in a meaningful and constructive exchange of ideas and knowledge with other members of the team.
Know how to use Engineering documentation processes (e. g. Engineering Releases and Change Orders) and company operating procedures. Initiate and be responsible for applicable engineering documentation. Assure its correctness and applicability.
Review and create documentation/drawings/work instructions for OEM product lines.
Achieve cost improvements both through formal projects and through cost effective designs or other outputs and activities.




                                        What You Need to Succeed


A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, required. A Master's Degree in Business or other related field, preferred.
The successful candidate should also have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field or position
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Master level using Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with SAP ERP software, preferred.
Engineering CAD experience - Pro E preferred.
