The Smith & Nephew Robotics Business Development Manager (RBDM)is responsible for driving Best in Class account implementation, cross Divisional collaboration, and Business Development activities for all Robotics accounts within their assigned geography. The RBDM advances goals directly with customers, as well as indirectly through the Robotics Account Representative (RAR) team; which reports to the RBDM.
Launches and implements new robotic applications and platform in existing and new S&N robotic accounts.
Leads, manages and motivates the RAR team to achieve regional goals and objectives for the organization that includes successful account launches to drive utilization.
Partners closely with the Robotics Capital Sales Team and Joint Reconstruction Sales Leadership to help achieve Sales objectives across franchises, while operating within Company policies/procedures
Oversees RAR & Recon Training, as well as transition protocols for established Robotic Accounts.
Attends Robotics surgical cases as part of field visits to provide rep feedback, surgeon training, and develop business.
Leads market development strategy after each Robotic installation within their respective region, driving adoption of the robot to new surgeons and increasing utilization of the technology.
Directly supports the National Director of Business Development (NDBD) with vertical reporting on national KPIs and dash boarding; implementation measures, utilization, and case support efficiency.
Ensures all members of their team adhere to Company compliance, certification, and training protocols.
Delivers reports to NDBD highlighting utilization, marketing plans, opportunities, challenges, transition plans, training, and resource needs to ensure scale and value at Robotic accounts in assigned geography.
Serves as a Liaison between the Robotic Clinical organization and other parties within Smith & Nephew.
This position is located in:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications: Must have valid driver's license.
Experience: 3+ years' experience in clinical/ business development medical device sales role with proven track record of success required
2+ years of business development experience in a disruptive medical technology space preferred
Proficiencies: Ability to exceed assigned surgical volume quota.
Travel Requirements: 50-75%
