Job Overview

The College-Conservatory of Music is seeking a part-time, 20 hours per week Chamber Music Coordinator to work in partnership with the faculty's Chamber Music Coordinating Committee and with the Division Heads for Performance Studies and Keyboard Studies to promote the chamber music program's goals and to ensure the program's smooth and efficient operation. The Coordinator will organize and schedule students into chamber ensembles; schedule rooms for chamber music rehearsals; and organize and prepare chamber recital events and off campus chamber events for student groups.

Essential Functions

Plan and coordinate program activities for a particular department or organizational unit.   
Gather and analyze relevant data and run/coordinate the development of related reports.
Design and implement evaluation tools for programs.
Plan the scheduling of events for programs.
Act as liaison to students, faculty and staff. Respond to student, parent, academic administrative representative and public requests, questions and concerns.
May develop and design brochures, reports and other materials for publication to promote the department.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures. Review and analyze relative literature and consult with other units and community agencies concerning programs.
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Associate's Degree.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Bachelor's Degree.
Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
Experience in organizing groups.
Knowledge of and experience in classical music.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
History of attention to important detail.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
