Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll function for all employees located in the United States and abroad. Is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and scheduling of payrolls; performing audits, summaries, tax forms, bank balances, wage reports and surveys. This position may personally prepare confidential payrolls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establishes and maintains processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for both domestic and international employees

Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws governing taxation and wage and hour laws and international laws

Prepares weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management

Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides General Ledger support

Manages review and approval of employee expense reports via Concur

Oversees garnishment processing in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations

Provides guidance and direction to staff on time/leave reporting, benefits, deductions, tax withholdings, and other employee questions relating to payroll

Performs audits of payroll detail for accuracy

Performs Year-End and W-2 processing

Reviews and reconciliations wage and labor detail

Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization

Adheres to all quality and safety standards

Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Five to seven years of multi-state and international payroll administration and supervisory experience

OTHER JOB RELATED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be familiar with aspects of the Payroll professions' concepts, practices and procedures
Concur travel/expense reimbursement or SAP software experience a plus
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and problem solve
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to set/meet deadlines
Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary
Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with employees and managers at all levels within the company
Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office) - excellent Excel and Word skills required
Must be able to speak, read and understand English
