CAS is currently seeking a Corporate Counsel. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Education and Experience:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
2-4 years of relevant in-house or law firm experience
Strong understanding of legal terms and standard contract provisions
Experience advising and counseling clients and drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts
Experience with licensing of intellectual property is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Reporting to the Managing Corporate Counsel, the selected candidate will provide ongoing business and legal guidance and risk analysis. The selected candidate will also collaborate with cross-divisional and executive management on strategic business initiatives and internal operations.
This business-focused role requires creativity, a solution-oriented mindset, and a willingness to assist with sophisticated transactional matters.
Key responsibilities and areas of focus include but are not limited to:
Negotiate and draft a variety of domestic and international agreements such as services statements of work, software and hardware license agreements, content acquisition and distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements, contractor and consulting agreements, and other general business contracts
Assist with structuring and negotiating strategic collaborations and partnerships between CAS and other organizations
Work cross-functionally with business clients to draft contract terms, provide business-focused solutions and ensure agreements both enable strategic goals and mitigate risk for CAS
Build relationships with executives, project teams, and peers across CAS
Develop a thorough understanding of the CAS portfolio of products and services and its customers, market and competitors
