Pentair currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Chardon, OH location. In this role, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading and providing direction to an organization that produces products in time with consideration to all safety, quality procedures, policies and instructions. This Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for training, scheduling, overseeing quality issues, resolving routine operating problems and employee supervision for 2nd shift operations.All responsibilities are executed in accordance with the mission, philosophy and objectives of the company.

You will:

Manage the daily production activities utilizing Lean tools and processes, train operators on safety expectations, and enforce adherence to standard work.
Achieve and maintain Level 5 5S implementation, including the use of operator checklists and 5S audits.
Recommend and implement changes regarding production capability, tooling, machine replacement and staffing to support production plans and cost-effective procedures, systems, etc. to continually improve manufacturing productivity.
Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost scoreboards at each cell.
Work with Leads and Operators to drive countermeasures for missed targets and appropriate owner based on Pareto analysis.
Conduct employee performance reviews, provide coaching as needed and conduct corrective actions under the disciplinary process if necessary.
Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making, as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
Perform other duties as assigned.

You should:

Have earned a Bachelor's (B.A., B.S.) degree in Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Have 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience.
Have the ability to show basic leadership skill set; effective communication, listening, providing constructive feedback, effective stress management, building technical competence, effective relationships with peer and supervisors, setting goals, and holding teams accountable.
Have previous experience in machining or manufacturing environment.
Have the ability to prioritize, organize and follow schedules.
Be able to provide examples of ability to manage projects and execute timely, action-oriented projects to drive results.

Additional Information:

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Stand for 8 to 12 hours, walk, bend, and perform basic motor skills. Lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25lbs. Follow ergonomically correct postures for bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.
