CAS is currently seeking a Technical Manager, HR Business Partner. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

This professional must understand all areas and departments of the business, and how human resources can benefit each area. Their work is directly related to current and future business success. The individual is skilled in listening to problems and ideas, and in clearly articulating solutions. This position develops, implements and administers selected programs, policies and procedures for staff as assigned.The incumbent reports to the Senior Director, Human Resources. The incumbent ensures that programs, policies and procedures are in compliance with legal requirements and meet the Society's strategic objectives related to human resources. Once programs, policies and procedures have been approved, the incumbent plays a major role in their implementation and ongoing administration. Position support base may be domestic, international or both.

Work Design: Works under general managerial direction on goals and objectives that have a significant impact on the organization. Works with unit objectives and expert knowledge as guidance. Develops systemic solutions for highly complex problems. Uses analytical, interpretive, evaluative and/or constructive thinking to reach solutions.

Position Accountabilities

Partner with leadership to align human resources strategy with business strategy.

Acts as change agent to business though process design and approaches that support change and transformation, striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.

Provides coaching and guidance to leadership and staff in a variety of ways including but not limited to organizational design, talent management, leadership and employee development, policy application, and other areas necessary to advance the business.

Conducts ongoing supply and demand analysis for business partners on current and future staffing and skills needs providing guidance on talent acquisitions strategies as necessary

Supports and guides employees and management in the areas of professional development.

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Leads or participates on projects- both internal HR projects as well as business/product focused projects.

Manages or analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with peers to develop programs and solutions.

Expert resource to employees and managers on interpretation of policies and procedures related to program areas.

Administers programs, researches, recommends and develops improvements to current programs.

Partner with client groups in executing all cyclical processes such as talent reviews, annual compensation, performance management, strategic workforce planning, succession management, and Employee Engagement Survey analysis and action planning.

Collaborates with other internal HR functions or external consultants to execute on areas such as recruiting, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, systems, compensation and benefits.

May facilitate employee relations instances to lead to positive outcome.

Provides facilitation services for business units.

Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Participates in development and review of policies and procedures.

Keeps current on legislation and regulations affecting programs; ensures compliance with legal provisions and reporting requirements.

Education/Experience/Technological Knowledge

College degree (relevant field) or equivalent experience; usually has an advanced degree (relevant field) or equivalent experience. 12+ years of related human resources experience in areas such as performance management, recruitment, coaching, employee relations, program management, change management, administering and analyzing HR programs. Previous experience supporting a Technology unit. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks with great attention to detail. May involve business travel.
