Position Summary

The Associate Manager, Campaign Development will ensure the accurate and on-time delivery of information that drives our core business, and act as key day-to-day architect for determining audience selection pertaining to TAG marketing efforts. This individual will translate marketing requests into actual output files derived by campaign architecture, that will touch our customers and prospects.

These efforts will support Sherwin-Williams in driving greater insights, engagement and improved lead nurturing for all business-to-business market segments (Residential Repaint, New Residential, Commercial, Multi-Family, Healthcare and Hospitality), as well as the direct-to-consumer market segment (Do It Yourself).        


 Serve as primary campaign executor, interfacing directly and heavily with Adobe campaign to address and manage campaign requests; including:

Plan, set up and execute Adobe Campaign workflows in accordance with the strategy and objectives stated in campaign requirements document
Translate requirements and taking direction to accurately implement customer journeys and data strategies into marketing automation programs
Provide proactive trouble shooting solutions as roadblocks come up through campaign build out
Understand, customize & optimize entire campaign management process as required, with focus on continuous improvement and documentation of development testing, quality control, etc.
Establish Sherwin-Williams-specific best practices for marketing executions in Adobe Campaign

Serve as day-to-day main point of contact for campaign execution and development, to deliver exceptional cross channel campaign delivery support, including:

Campaign calendar management, campaign requirements, gathering and documentation, campaign development and architecting, and execution activities

Manage individual campaign resource workload and associated tasks, and communicate status accordingly to team lead project manager, to manage expectations. Including but not limited to:

Track and monitor campaign delivery, results, resolve issues and report status
Focus on continual learning to ensure alignment on data/campaign business rules, key aggregates and the implications they may have in audience selection
Support DDX lead in ensuring compliance with privacy and other internal policies as appropriate, including regional, national, and international legislation as it relates to audience selection

Participate in ongoing training (self-train and user-instructed) and documentation of key processes performed in campaign execution role, including but not limited to:

Acquiring appropriate Adobe Campaign certifications, as well as other Adobe related certifications
Cross-training on relevant and appropriate tools (example: Acoustic ESP)
Recommending additional controls for implementation by identifying issues, and writing improved procedures
Improving systems by understanding current practices, and proposing optimizations and modifications as needed
Providing updates to users on campaign and audience selection related issues, and key projects and tasks

Position Requirements



4-year College Degree; (Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent backgrounds are preferred but not required)



Core understanding of relational database design concepts (ex: table design, table relationships; 1:1; 1-many), primary & foreign key designations, etc.).
Strong functional proficiency in campaign orchestration and marketing automation
3+ years of experience building campaign workflows/architecture
Strong problem-solving skills, with strong self-starter/self-teaching drive
Competency with robust quality assurance protocols
Experience with B2B and B2C customer data
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Can translate technical ideas into non-technical terms without sacrificing the quality of information given
Effective problem-solver, able to think through and propose alternative options 


Experience with Adobe Campaign Classic
Experience working as a technical product owner to integrate and connect the Adobe Experience Cloud suite of products
Competency in writing, interpreting, trouble shooting and summarizing basic-to-intermediate SQL queries
Experience in writing and interpreting basic-to-intermediate JavaScript statements



Campaign management/Audience selection tool experience (SFMC, Oracle, Unica, Campaign Runner, or similar)
File management tools (PGP, Text Editors, CuteFTP, FileZilla, etc.)
Knowledge of database structures, documentation and processes
Experience using project tracking software to collaborate with and keep team members and key stakeholders informed on status of current and pipeline projects


Adobe Campaign Classic experience
SQL for data analysis
JavaScript for creating dynamic variables
Additional campaign management tool experience (SFMC, Oracle Responsys, Unica, etc.)
